Letting go can be blissful
5/4/2011 -
Sometimes, we just have to let go.
Yesterday, I forgot about all the angst in the world and sat in the garden in a rare moment of sunshine, so far this year, listened to the birds and enjoyed the feeling of the sun on my face.
I thought briefly of the radiation that might be coming across the Pacific from Japan, if any. How much would I be taking in? Will it affect me later?
And then, I thought, worrying about it is a waste of time. I can't change my fate, because I believe that when it's my time to go, I will go.
Far better, is to learn how not to be a prisoner of fear.

Hey! I was in my garden, too. Not a cloud in the sky and perfect weather. I've repotted some plants and killed some poison ivy (another North American invader!). Feel much better -- and I'm not watching any deep or political tv shows today, either.

Ah, bliss. Sometimes the small things in our everyday life fill us with true joy and loving life. Happy for you.

Celia.. this is perfect! When things seem complicated.. when life feels overwhelming.. you have a place to go and set those things aside. I agree that letting fear fly away can be liberating.. and you expressed that here so well :)
