In my perpetual calendar I read: The threads of friendship embroider our lives with patterns of joy. And: Friendships begun in this world can be taken up again in heaven, never to be broken off. Francis de Sales
What a lovely thought that is; that the friends we make in this life, we will see again. That, unburdened by bodily malfunctions, cranky families and Earthly emotional problems, we gather together in that beautiful garden some dying people speak of, bathed in a glorious warm light, with happy children playing at our feet and devoted pets lying at our sides.
If we do forget how difficult it can be on this plane and then agree to come again to have another go, I like to think that our friends will come along with us for support, and that we will share time together eternally, no matter where we are in this vast creation.

Friendships are so important to me and those quotes are absolutely wonderdul. Thank you for sharing them. I have two friends that I have had for 47 years and one that I have had for 43 years. I absolutely cannot imagine my life without these women. I love my husband but those three women keep me sane!
